Line-Haul Fleet Controller – Logistics

About the role
Oversee line‑haul fleet operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, vehicle utilisation, driver management, compliance and reliable delivery performance.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and schedule line‑haul routes to optimise vehicle utilisation.
- Monitor vehicle movements and fleet performance to maintain delivery reliability.
- Manage drivers and operational support staff, addressing service delays and issues.
- Ensure compliance with transport safety regulations and coordinate vehicle maintenance.
Required profile
- Matric / Grade 12 – essential.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in fleet planning and control within the transport industry.
- Proven experience in fleet or transport operations, including line‑haul schedule and route management.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing and breakdown coordination.
- Strong understanding of transport compliance and safety requirements.
- Experience monitoring fleet utilisation, fuel efficiency and managing drivers.
