About the role
The Light Equipment Operator supports the City of Grovetown by performing essential construction, maintenance, and service tasks for the water and sewer system. This full‑time position involves operating a variety of small‑engine equipment, power tools, and light trucks while working in challenging outdoor conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and repair water and sewer infrastructure.
- Operate small engine equipment, power tools, and light trucks safely and efficiently.
- Perform construction, maintenance, and service activities as directed.
- Carry out heavy physical labor under adverse weather and site conditions.
- Follow all safety protocols and municipal guidelines.
Required profile
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical stamina for heavy manual labor.
- Reliability and punctuality for full‑time shift work.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and municipal regulations.
Required skills
