Lend Deal Maker - Commercial Property Finance

About the role

FNB in Cape Town is looking for a Lend Deal Maker to contribute to its lending activities in commercial property finance and residential developments. You will work on less complex deals across their full lifecycle, from idea generation to closure, under the guidance of experienced colleagues. The role covers origination, structuring and finalisation of deals within your assigned sector, assessing risk through financial and credit information and preparing credit submissions for credit committee review.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial data and credit information to evaluate borrower risk and support lending decisions
• Work with senior deal makers to structure commercial property finance deals
• Prepare credit applications and supporting documentation for credit committee review
• Offer financing solutions that meet client needs and stay up to date with economic conditions and business risks
• Manage the deal flow from origination to conclusion and grow the portfolio with existing clients
• Collaborate with sales coverage teams and credit specialists

Required profile

• BCom degree or equivalent in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Commercial Property Finance or Residential Developments
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and credit assessment
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication skills and a client-focused approach
