Legal Counsel

About the role

Paymentology is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide expert legal guidance across a broad range of matters that affect its global payments business. You will work closely with internal teams to navigate complex regulatory environments, manage contracts, and mitigate legal risks while supporting strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely legal advice on contract law, employment law, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess legal implications of business decisions and recommend risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Participate in contract negotiations, draft, review, and finalize commercial agreements, vendor contracts, employment contracts, and lease agreements.
• Conduct legal research, monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and advise on compliance requirements.
• Support litigation matters through analysis, documentation preparation, and coordination with external counsel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial contracts, compliance, and legal advisory for fast‑paced, global organisations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting payments, fintech, and financial services.
• Ability to translate business objectives into practical legal solutions.
