Legal Advisor (Commercial & Corporate)

About the role

Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to provide comprehensive legal support across commercial, compliance and corporate matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, including CPA, NCA, POPIA, Companies Act and Competition Act.
• Manage legal risk, oversee litigation matters and support corporate governance.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal counsel to internal stakeholders and senior management.
• Monitor changes in South African commercial law and implement appropriate policy updates.

Required profile

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court with at least 5 years post‑admission experience.
• Background in a corporate, multinational or reputable law‑firm environment.
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation capabilities.
• Proven experience in legal risk management, litigation and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast‑moving setting.
