Lecturer – Accounting & Business Studies

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Accounting, Business Studies or related fields to join our Klerksdorp Campus. The role involves teaching, assessing and supporting students in line with the College’s academic plan.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment, registration and induction of students.
• Facilitate academic and career development of students.
• Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the College’s Academic Plan and timetable.
• Assess students, maintain records and capture marks electronically.
• Manage classroom environment, attendance and discipline.
• Invigilate internal and external examinations.
• Participate in extracurricular activities to promote holistic development.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Three‑year B degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Accounting, Business Studies or related fields.
• Professional teaching qualification and valid SACE certificate.
• Ability to teach Education & Development and Human & Social Development.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong planning, organization and administrative abilities.
• Capability to design, deliver and evaluate lessons.
• Objective monitoring of student performance and provision of constructive feedback.
• Professional relationship building with students to foster a supportive learning environment.
