Lecturer (2 positions) – Educational Psychology & Special Education

About the role

The University of Zululand invites applications for two Lecturer positions in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education. The successful candidates will join the Faculty of Education, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, conducting research, and contributing to community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Educational Psychology and Special Education.
• Supervise student teachers during teaching practice and assess their performance.
• Undertake research projects and publish findings in recognised journals.
• Participate in curriculum design, development, and assessment activities.
• Carry out administrative duties at departmental and institutional levels.
• Engage with community outreach initiatives related to inclusive education.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in Educational Psychology, Special Education or Inclusive Education.
• Professional teaching qualification and registration as an Educational Psychologist.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at higher education level.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
