Learning Practitioner – Instrumentation (Non-Permanent)

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Learning Practitioner specialized in instrumentation to support the Energy business unit. This non‑permanent position will identify learning needs, develop and deliver training, and assess competency in line with legal requirements and Sasol’s learning strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify learning gaps and propose targeted interventions for the workforce.
• Assess the profile of the target population and determine appropriate learning solutions.
• Design, develop or select learning methodologies that comply with relevant legislation and business requirements.
• Facilitate training delivery using a variety of methods and guide learners in practical application.
• Conduct assessments for 18.1 and 18.2 appointments, ensuring adherence to Sasol learning guidelines.
• Support line managers in evaluating competence and identifying further gaps.
• Develop learning plans with timelines, coordinate on‑the‑job learning, and monitor progress.
• Update learning material as needed and act as moderator/assessor in both Sasolburg and Secunda, requiring travel.

Required profile

• Experience in identifying learning needs and designing learning interventions.
• Ability to deliver training and conduct competency assessments.
• Knowledge of relevant learning legislation and Sasol’s learning frameworks.
• Willingness to travel between Sasolburg and Secunda.
• Strong collaboration skills to support line managers and learners.
