Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Development (Crypto Wallets)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of high‑performance crypto wallet applications on mobile platforms. The role combines hands‑on React Native development with technical leadership, shaping architecture, security standards, and performance for a global DeFi audience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build cross‑platform mobile apps using React Native, ensuring scalability and a seamless user experience on iOS and Android.
• Provide technical leadership to a small team of mobile engineers, set architectural direction, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior members.
• Define and maintain core mobile foundations such as state management, navigation, modularization, performance optimisation, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs, WebSockets, SDKs and blockchain services, and contribute to backend code when needed.
• Conduct code reviews, drive CI/CD pipelines, and continuously improve development tools and processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mobile development with a strong focus on React Native.
• Proven track record of leading or mentoring mobile engineering teams and owning large‑scale mobile architecture.
• Deep understanding of mobile CI/CD pipelines, native build processes, and modern front‑end tooling.
• Experience integrating native modules and working with iOS (Swift/Objective‑C) or Android (Kotlin/Java).
• Hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and distributed backend integration.
