Lead Software Engineer – Full-Stack (Healthcare AI)

About the role

Nurmed AI is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of AI‑powered medical consultation tools. This full‑stack position focuses on building secure, EHR‑ready applications for the healthcare sector, with a clear path from learning the codebase to owning the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, FastAPI, and Supabase (PostgreSQL).
• Build responsive front‑end interfaces with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Create and document architecture diagrams, service documentation, and onboarding guides.
• Implement asynchronous processing with Celery and RabbitMQ for AI job pipelines.
• Integrate AI services such as OpenAI, Soniox, and ElevenLabs into the platform.
• Lead code reviews, define architectural decisions, and mentor junior developers.
• Own deployment pipelines, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and system reliability on AWS and Azure.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional full‑stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI, with ability to extend complex services.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, and building production‑grade dashboards.
• Deep knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL optimization, and Supabase authentication.
• Experience with async patterns, Celery task queues, and REST API versioning.
• Regular use of AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Disciplined Git workflow, preferably trunk‑based development.
