Lead Developer - Android

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Android Developer to drive the creation of high‑performance, beautiful mobile applications for our innovative client in Centurion. The role combines hands‑on coding with architectural leadership, ensuring the Android portfolio remains cutting‑edge.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and the Android SDK.
• Apply modern architecture patterns such as MVVM to produce scalable and maintainable codebases.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, resolve bugs and continuously improve app efficiency.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to boost development productivity.
• Lead technical decisions and set coding standards across the Android team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of native Android development experience.
• At least 3 years leading design and architecture of complex Android applications.
• Proven track record of making key technical decisions and establishing development standards.
• Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical vision and trade‑offs.
