LDAP & Linux Administrator – Randburg

About the role

We are looking for an experienced LDAP and Linux specialist to join our IT team in Randburg, Johannesburg. The role focuses on managing and optimizing our IBM LDAP environment, ensuring high performance, reliability and security for a growing user base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain LDAP directories, including architecture, components and scalability improvements.
• Monitor LDAP performance using tools such as Grafana and Splunk, and generate health‑check reports.
• Develop and execute Linux and AIX command scripts for server administration and replication management.
• Perform regular log analysis, user and certificate management, and resolve incidents via ServiceNow.
• Maintain documentation in the knowledge‑management system and provide weekly status updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience with LDAP technologies and IBM LDAP tools.
• Strong background in Linux and AIX server administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Grafana or Splunk.
• Ability to handle replication, health checks, and security certificates.
• Experience using ServiceNow for ticketing and documentation.
