About the role

MyTalent Software is seeking a skilled Laravel Developer with at least three years of experience to join its team in Cape Town. The role focuses on building and maintaining high‑quality web applications using Laravel while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality web applications using Laravel.
• Integrate with various APIs and external services.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, UX/UI designers, and other team members.
• Write clean, secure, test‑driven, maintainable, and modular code.
• Perform peer code reviews and participate in team discussions and meetings.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional PHP development experience, focusing on Laravel.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as MySQL or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
