Lab Technician

About the role

Premier FMCG is seeking a Lab Technician to lead quality control activities at its production site. The role ensures that raw materials, in‑process items and finished products meet strict specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily quality control checks on incoming raw materials, in‑process product, and finished/packed goods.
• Conduct sample testing for equipment verification and intermediate instrument checks to guarantee 100% accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 17025 requirements.
• Communicate non‑conformances to millers and plant operators and support corrective actions.
• Accurately capture laboratory data in the LIMS in real time.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a food‑industry Quality Control or Quality Assurance laboratory.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP and FSSC 22000 standards is advantageous.
