Key Accounts Manager – Industrial Engineering & Energy

About the role

The company is a leading industrial engineering and energy firm seeking a commercially driven Key Accounts Manager to grow its Industrial Boiler Business Unit. You will work with industrial clients, EPC contractors and partners across local and international markets, driving new business and supporting existing accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and markets in industrial steam generation, sugar, biomass and energy transition sectors.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with industrial clients, EPC contractors, consultants, suppliers and partners.
• Generate repeat business, retrofit, upgrade and service opportunities.
• Support customer visits, technical discussions and industry events.
• Prepare and coordinate tenders, proposals and commercial submissions.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions and project handovers.
• Develop and maintain local and international supplier relationships, including qualification and cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Monitor market developments, emerging technologies and competitor activity, providing intelligence and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Industrial Engineering or equivalent; MBA or business qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience in heavy engineering, industrial boiler systems, steam generation, process or power generation environments.
• Proven track record in sales, business development, tendering, commercial processes and contract negotiations.
• Strong understanding of industrial boiler and steam generation technologies.
• Excellent customer relationship and business development capabilities.
• Valid driver’s licence, passport and willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
