Key Account Manager – Traditional/Wholesaler Channel

About the role

We are seeking a high‑performing Key Account Manager to lead our Traditional Trade and Wholesale channel in Johannesburg. You will build strong partnerships with key customers, identify growth opportunities and drive sales performance for leading FMCG brands.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with wholesale and traditional trade customers.
• Identify and act on opportunities to increase sales, profitability and market share.
• Create and implement customer growth plans aligned with commercial targets.
• Lead negotiations, manage trading agreements and ensure compliance.
• Use market insights and customer data to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent service and execution.
• Drive promotional initiatives and sales activities that add value for customers and the business.
• Achieve ambitious revenue, sales and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Proven track record of sales growth in FMCG, wholesale or traditional trade.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to earn customer trust.
• Commercial mindset with data‑driven decision making.
