Key Account Manager

About the role

The Key Account Manager will lead and expand strategic relationships across pharmacy, convenience, quick‑service restaurant (QSR) and e‑commerce channels. You will be responsible for driving volume, revenue and market share for Chill’s carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and energy drink portfolio in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end relationships with assigned accounts, serving as the primary commercial contact.
• Develop and execute account‑specific business plans aligned with overall sales and brand strategy.
• Negotiate trading terms, listings, promotional grids, pricing and shelf‑space agreements.
• Drive distribution, availability and ranging of CSD and energy drink SKUs across all channels.
• Plan and execute promotional calendars, track ROI and conduct post‑promotion analysis.
• Oversee online customer relationships (e.g., Takealot), including content optimisation and e‑commerce promotions.
• Collaborate with QSR partners on bundling, in‑store activations and menu integration.
• Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions.
• Manage trade spend and promotional budgets within agreed parameters.
• Forecast demand and work with supply‑chain teams to ensure stock availability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management within pharmacy, convenience, QSR or e‑commerce channels.
• Track record of growing volume and market share for beverage brands.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial acumen.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with marketing, supply chain, finance and category teams.
• Good understanding of the South African retail landscape and compliance requirements.
