Key Account Manager

About the role

Vector is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to lead relationships with our principal customers across Southern Africa. You will be responsible for retaining existing accounts, expanding services, and ensuring profitability while driving supply‑chain efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and obtain sign‑off on customer‑specific strategies aligned with group objectives.
• Set, monitor and review key performance indicators (KPIs) for each account on a monthly basis.
• Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing principals and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain teams to deliver cost‑effective solutions and optimise S&OP processes.
• Manage internal functions to meet agreed KPIs and resolve customer queries promptly.
• Take ownership of tasks, plan and prioritise work, and ensure consistent quality and productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing key accounts in a supply‑chain or sales environment.
• Ability to set, track and act on KPI data for both the customer and the company.
• Strong commercial negotiation and rate‑review capabilities.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with supply‑chain, finance and sales teams.
• Self‑motivated with excellent planning, prioritisation and accountability.
