Key Account Manager – Exports

About the role

Unilever is seeking a self‑starter to drive growth of its brands across the African export markets, primarily Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Eswatini. You will be responsible for delivering sales turnover targets in line with Unilever South Africa’s objectives and executing a strategic commercial plan for the export channel.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual sales turnover targets across the BNLE markets.
• Develop and execute customer and distributor business plans aligned with Unilever South Africa.
• Prioritise channels and customers, allocate budget and manage a network of established distributors.
• Lead category‑management and shopper‑centric initiatives.
• Implement pricing strategies and negotiate trade terms.
• Analyse market data and insights to inform strategy and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of marketing or sales experience in the FMCG sector.
• At least 2 years of key account management experience, preferably in export markets.
• BCom degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional teams and drive initiatives independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Nielsen data platforms.
• Experience using Power BI for data visualisation.
• Familiarity with customer information systems such as Rex or PnP Info Hub.
