Junior Transport Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Junior Transport Coordinator to join a leading supplier of premium baking equipment. In this role you will support the planning and execution of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring deliveries are efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate local and international transport modes, including road, sea, and air freight.
• Obtain and compare transport quotes to secure cost‑effective solutions.
• Plan and schedule deliveries in alignment with warehouse and sales operations.
• Maintain accurate records of product weights, dimensions, and logistics data.
• Liaise with branches, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage inter‑branch transfers and complete required documentation.
• Monitor delivery schedules and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Handle transport‑related insurance claims and resolve logistics issues.
• Support export processes, including shipping quotes and container logistics.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve transport efficiency.

Required profile

• Matric qualification (Mathematics advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or transport coordination.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• High attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder liaison.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
