Junior Structural Engineer

About the role

Our client, a well‑established consulting engineering firm, is looking for a technically strong Junior Structural Engineer to join their Pretoria team. The role offers exposure to a variety of structural projects within a collaborative consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural projects across multiple sectors.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and technical documentation in line with codes and client requirements.
• Produce and review engineering drawings and specifications using industry‑standard software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support project planning, design coordination, and technical problem‑solving.
• Participate in site inspections and provide on‑site technical support.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• BEng in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• 4–7 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA.
• Valid driver’s licence.
