Junior Strategic Buyer – Procurement

About the role

Nestlé SA is seeking a Junior Strategic Buyer to join its Procurement team in Bryanston. The role focuses on developing, validating, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies for locally managed categories, supporting the efficient rollout of new items, services and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement local sourcing strategies using Nestlé’s Strategic Sourcing Process tools and the Standardised Procurement Model.
• Perform supplier market, category and supply‑risk analyses and build total cost of ownership models.
• Prepare and execute negotiation events to secure best‑value contracts and commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé policies, Supplier Code and procurement standards.
• Lead contract SLA reviews, manage contract documentation in SAP and maintain master data.
• Provide information for the Procurement Ensure Supply process, including risk analysis and material prioritisation.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years of experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies.
• Strong analytical skills for market, category and risk assessments.
• Experience in negotiation, contract management and supplier performance monitoring.

Required skills

• SAP (contracts, purchasing info records, master data).
