Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Join Dentsu Data’s engineering team to build AI‑powered, cloud‑native products that serve global brands. You will work on a variety of platforms—from decision‑support systems to generative AI applications—while collaborating with engineers, data scientists and product managers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve product features with guidance from senior engineers.
• Build APIs, backend services and user‑facing applications.
• Write clear, reliable, well‑tested code.
• Develop and maintain cloud‑native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Contribute to data and AI‑driven solutions, including generative AI use cases.
• Debug issues, provide production support and participate in incident resolution.
• Take part in code reviews and adopt modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate across global teams of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, AI Engineers and Product Managers.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of professional software development experience (including internships or graduate programmes).
• Strong foundation in Python, TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, Git and modern development workflows.
• Understanding of testing principles and clean, maintainable code.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Good problem‑solving and communication skills, curiosity and a strong desire to learn.
