About the role
We are an established software development company seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our Cape Town team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to work on Java‑based applications while learning from experienced senior developers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java‑based applications.
- Assist in building scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Work with databases, web technologies, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with senior developers on software design and implementation.
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing system improvements.
- Contribute to technical documentation and best practices.
Required profile
- Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
- Good understanding of Java development.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
