Junior Site Administration Engineer – Cape Town

About the role

Utopia is seeking a proactive Junior Site Administration Engineer to join its on‑ground construction team for a high‑end luxury accommodation project in Cape Town. The role focuses on daily reporting, documentation management, and supporting site engineers to ensure smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter daily report data (weather, personnel, equipment, work completed, materials, inspections, safety issues) into the reporting software.
• Organise and maintain technical documentation, project plans, RFIs, CVIs, non‑conformance reports and HSE notices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, industry and company standards.
• Analyse operational problems and suggest process improvements.
• Step in for the Site Engineer when required, attend high‑level meetings and contribute to strategic decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities and progress reports.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and able to work independently while collaborating closely with site teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry processes and documentation.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple data streams daily.
• Willingness to relocate to Cape Town if not already based there.
