Junior Sales Assistant

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the Head of Sales and Founder of a fast‑growing UK fintech. Working remotely from Cape Town, you will develop outbound sales skills, handle inbound enquiries and gain hands‑on exposure to the payments industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads via phone, email and LinkedIn.
• Make approximately 100 cold‑call attempts per day.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and keep the sales pipeline up‑to‑date.
• Assist in preparing proposals, quotations and follow‑up communications.
• Research prospective customers and market segments to uncover new opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
• Attend industry events and networking sessions when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a sales role covering the end‑to‑end sales process.
• Comfortable making high‑volume outbound calls.
• Experience in a startup environment.
• Strong communication skills with a neutral accent.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and reliable in follow‑up.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and open to coaching.
• Genuine interest in fintech and payment solutions.

• Salary range R22,000 – R27,000 per month plus commission.
