Junior Legal Advisor

About the role

A growing renewable energy and infrastructure company is looking for a bright, commercially‑minded Junior Legal Advisor to join its legal team in Bellville. This development‑focused role offers early‑career attorneys the chance to build broad corporate and commercial legal experience while receiving mentorship from the Head of Legal and senior professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and progressively own a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements, including services, supply, procurement, licensing and technology contracts.
• Conduct legal research and prepare advice on contractual rights, obligations, warranties, indemnities and termination clauses.
• Support corporate transactions and strategic initiatives, handling due diligence, document collation, condition‑precedent tracking and closing checklists.
• Assist tender, RFP and procurement processes, providing first‑pass reviews of commercial terms.
• Manage the contracting workflow, maintain legal matter trackers, contract registers and template libraries, and ensure compliance with contracting policies.

Required profile

• LLB or equivalent recognised legal qualification.
• Admitted Attorney in South Africa.
• 1–3 years post‑articles experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal environment.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing corporate and commercial agreements.
