Junior IT Problem Analyst

About the role

RCL Foods is seeking a Junior IT Problem Analyst to join its IT team at the head office in Westville, KwaZulu‑Natal. The role focuses on delivering efficient application support, resolving user queries, and ensuring smooth operation of HR and ERP systems.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user queries and support requests within agreed service levels.
• Administer and monitor system workflows, approvals and related activities.
• Coordinate meetings, maintain action item logs and track progress of assigned activities.
• Support testing activities, maintain documentation and follow‑up with business users.
• Escalate complex issues to Business Analysts, technical specialists or the Applications Manager.
• Maintain and update support documentation, process records and query tracking logs.
• Assist in preparing end‑user training materials and user guides.
• Identify recurring issues and propose improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• National Diploma in IT, Information Systems, Business Administration, HR or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years experience in an application support or super‑user role.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably HCM SAP or Syspro.
• Familiarity with HR systems and customer support is advantageous.
• Exposure to IT Service Management tools is a plus.
