Junior International Sales Executive

About the role

Join Marcus Evans’ Large‑Scale Events division as a Junior International Sales Executive in Cape Town. You will be responsible for driving conference sales to senior decision‑makers across multiple industries, working closely with the production team in Malaysia to align sales strategies with event objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and generate leads through research, cold calling and networking.
• Contact senior decision‑makers to pitch conference solutions.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
• Conduct telephonic pitching while meeting KPI targets.
• Negotiate pricing, packages and contract terms to close deals.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in Hubspot CRM.
• Collaborate with the production team in Malaysia to ensure sales alignment with event goals.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• 1‑2 years of relevant sales or business development experience.
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with cold calling is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn across multiple business sectors.
• Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a positive attitude.
• Computer literate and able to work under pressure.
• Self‑driven, able to work independently within a team structure.
