Junior HR Business Partner – Cape Town

About the role

The Junior HR Business Partner will serve as the on‑site People & Culture champion for our Cape Town office, working closely with the Ferva HR Consulting team and local leadership. You will ensure that HR processes, people initiatives and the company culture are consistently applied and embedded across all teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HR operations, administration and the full employee lifecycle.
• Accurately process payroll inputs and ensure timely payroll execution.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and integration of new hires.
• Maintain the people calendar and drive timely execution of HR activities.
• Support performance management, goal setting and job description updates.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and provide guidance on HR matters.
• Promote and sustain a culture aligned with the Johannesburg (JHB) values.
• Assist managers with everyday people issues and basic employee relations.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication across all teams.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in HR or People & Culture.
• Strong administrative, organisational and detail‑oriented skills.
• High ownership, ability to follow through and deliver results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for building trust.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude and comfort in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to balance structured processes with flexibility.
