Junior Field Service Technician - Vending Machines

About the role

A top supplier of vending machines is looking for a Junior Field Service Technician in Cape Town. The main purpose is to carry out technical repairs and installations of all vending machines relevant to the business. The role involves hands-on work, including transporting and installing large machines.

Key responsibilities

• Transport and install large vending machines and operate service vehicles
• Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot motors, solenoids and main supply
• Train machine operators
• Manage general spares, maintain service records, generate reports and keep housekeeping standards
• Maintain the service vehicle clean inside and out, with a weekly wash, and attend regular vehicle inspections
• Wear company-approved uniforms while on duty

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical qualification in electronics, electrical or electro-mechanical fields (N1-N3)
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to engage in manual labour

Required skills

• Expertise in vending machine repairs
• Proficiency in electronic and mechanical repairs
• Knowledge of plumbing
• Experience with domestic appliances

What we offer

• Pay of R10-14k per month depending on experience
