Junior Developer and Support Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Junior Developer and Support Assistant to join our IT team in Johannesburg. You will work hands‑on with Google Workspace, help streamline internal processes and provide first‑line technical support to our staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide internal support for Google Apps (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.) and optimise their usage.
• Act as the first point of contact for tech‑related queries, troubleshooting issues with a can‑do attitude.
• Assist in building internal tools and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Help manage and report on data, ensuring leadership receives accurate insights.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas); Google Sheets ArrayFormula is a plus.
• Self‑motivated and able to identify and solve problems independently.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical solutions to non‑technical colleagues.
• Basic SQL querying ability.
• Experience with Power BI or DAX for dashboard creation.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker Studio or similar.
