Junior Conveyancing Attorney – Sandton

About the role

Our client, a well‑established law firm in Sandton, is seeking a motivated Junior Conveyancing Attorney to join their conveyancing department. The role involves handling bond registrations, transfers and cancellations while providing high‑quality client service across Gauteng.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to daily administrative functions such as lodgement, execution lists, fee lists and file updates.
• Meet and sign‑up clients for transfer and bond matters, explaining bond documents and mortgaging implications.
• Manage transfers, bond cancellations and registrations, with advantage given to experience in SA Home Loans.
• Draft, prepare and check all bond and transfer documentation and calculate final finances.
• Prepare and execute transfer and bond documents ensuring compliance with Deeds Office and bank panel requirements.
• Liaise with clients, banks, estate agents and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progression of matters.
• Maintain bank panel requirements and protect major banks’ interests.
• Provide support to senior conveyancers and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and admission as an Attorney.
• Admission as a Conveyancer (Notary Public admission is an advantage).
• Minimum 1–2 years post‑admission experience with bonds and transfers.

• Proficiency in conveyancing software such as LexisConvey.
• Proficiency in conveyancing software such as GhostConvey.
• Proficiency in conveyancing software such as E4.
