About the role
We are looking for a Junior Commercial Underwriter / Broker Administrator to join our underwriting team in Roodepoort. The role blends technical underwriting with broker onboarding and administration, offering a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy both aspects of insurance operations.
Key responsibilities
- Onboard new brokers and ensure all compliance documentation is completed accurately.
- Manage broker queries and support the onboarding process.
- Perform underwriting tasks across personal and commercial lines.
- Process policies, endorsements, and schedules correctly.
- Maintain strong broker relationships and provide technical support.
Required profile
- 2–5+ years of experience in short‑term insurance underwriting.
- Strong administrative and compliance skills.
- Ability to manage broker onboarding processes.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- RE5 & FAIS certification advantageous.
