Junior Admitted Attorney & Conveyancer

About the role

Our client, a boutique law firm in the Edenvale/Bedfordview area, is seeking a Junior Admitted Attorney & Conveyancer to join their Conveyancing and Property Law department. Reporting to the Director/Senior Conveyancer, you will handle residential and commercial property transfers, sectional title matters, and related real‑estate transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residential and commercial property transfers from instruction to registration.
• Handle bond registrations, bond cancellations, and draft/review all conveyancing documentation.
• Navigate Deeds Office procedures and ensure timely lodgement in Johannesburg and Pretoria offices.
• Interact directly with financial institutions, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor KPIs such as turnaround times and compliance.

Required profile

• LLB degree.
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Admitted Conveyancer.
• 1–2 years post‑admission experience in conveyancing.
• Experience with property transfers, sectional title transfers, and Deeds Office procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of conveyancing platforms such as Lexis Convey and Windeed.
• Strong legal drafting and document review abilities.
• Sound understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures.
