Junior Accountant – Umhlanga, Durban

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our shipping establishment in the Umhlanga area of Durban. The role offers immediate start and the chance to work within a dynamic finance team handling month‑end processes and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and support month‑end financial reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain and update accounting records in accordance with company policies.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting or Financial Management.
• 2–5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and reporting functions.
