Junior Accountant & Tax Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant / Tax Administrator to join our growing tax and accounting practice in Johannesburg. The role offers hands‑on exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, tax compliance and financial statement preparation, providing a solid foundation for long‑term career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain client bookkeeping records using QuickBooks or Sage.
• Process payroll and submit statutory filings.
• Assist in preparing and submitting VAT, PAYE and Income Tax returns via SARS eFiling.
• Support tax compliance for individuals and companies.
• Prepare annual financial statements and reconcile accounts.
• Communicate with SARS on queries and submissions.
• Prepare working papers and supporting schedules for financial reporting.
• Respond to client queries and provide financial information as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting, Tax or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting and tax experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional, reliable and well‑organized.
• References that can be contacted.
