Junior Accountant

About the role

As a Junior Accountant you will support the Finance and Asset Management team by executing core accounting processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to reliable internal reporting across several group companies. The role offers a strong opportunity to build broad finance experience in an international renewable‑energy business.

Key responsibilities

• Process cashbooks, journals, intercompany transactions, customer invoices and monthly statements.
• Prepare bank, supplier, balance‑sheet, travel expense and corporate credit‑card reconciliations.
• Capture supplier invoices, manage approval workflows and review for VAT, purchase‑order and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate domestic and international payment runs, prepare batches and load payments onto banking platforms.
• Resolve supplier and invoice queries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly VAT workings and support tax, KYC, CIPC, annual return and other compliance activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• More than 3 years of accounting experience, including preparation of a basic trial balance.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Organisational skills and experience working with multiple legal entities.

Required skills

• Solid Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (advantageous).
