About the role
Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join the team in Grabouw. The role offers the chance to develop a career in a professional accounting environment that values excellence, integrity, and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
- Financial reporting and record‑keeping
- Preparation of key financial statements
- Ensuring financial records are up to date
- Preparing and filing tax returns for compliance
- Analyzing financial data
- Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring budget vs. actual performance
- Forecasting costs and revenue for future financial planning
Required profile
- Relevant diploma or degree in financial accounting
- Knowledge of payroll processing
- Strong numerical skills
- Understanding of WCA
- Experience with SARS eFiling (EMP201, VAT 201)
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Relevant experience considered an advantage, though a formal traineeship is not required
