IT Technician – Pre‑opening Edition Hotel

About the role

The Cape Town EDITION Hotel is preparing for its grand opening and needs a dedicated IT Technician to ensure all technology systems run smoothly. You will support hotel staff and guests by maintaining hardware, software, and network infrastructure in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, docking stations, printers and other peripherals.
• Maintain and upgrade server systems, network communications, and backup solutions.
• Manage user accounts, including creation, removal, and password resets, while safeguarding personal data.
• Perform regular hardware diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of all technology devices and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide on‑site end‑user support and respond to software error messages.
• Coordinate with vendors for major hardware or software issues.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Good communication skills to interact with hotel staff and other IT personnel.
