IT Technician

About the role

The IT Technician (also referred to as an IT Engineer) will design, implement, maintain and optimise IT systems that support organisational objectives and operational efficiency. You will manage moderately complex technical tasks, ensure system stability, performance and reliability, and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine IT solutions to address medium‑complexity business challenges.
• Program, script, plan, configure and test new and existing computer systems.
• Provide specialised technical support and occasionally lead complex tasks.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into practical technical specifications.
• Manage end‑to‑end follow‑up of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication with stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional experience in IT engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA or CCNA.
• Proven ability to configure, maintain and secure IT systems and tools.
• Strong initiative to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required skills

• ITIL, CompTIA, CCNA certifications.
• Scripting and programming capabilities.
• Understanding of security protocols.
• Knowledge of networking infrastructures.
• Experience with database systems.
