IT Technician – Hardware & Software Support

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Technician to join our Centurion facility. You will provide comprehensive hardware and software support to both contract and ad‑hoc clients, ensuring smooth operation of all IT assets.

Key responsibilities

• Set up computers, routers, printers and other peripherals and configure software according to specifications.
• Evaluate network performance (availability, throughput, latency) and implement appropriate policies.
• Upgrade operating systems, applications and system components following vendor recommendations and company policies.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues, resolve problems and mitigate operational risks.
• Provide end‑user support for office and field staff, including mobile devices and remote assistance.
• Maintain asset register, log tickets in the help‑desk system and ensure backups are running.
• Administer Office 365, manage Group Policy, and support VOIP handsets.
• Perform on‑site and preventative maintenance at remote project offices, including travel and on‑call support.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT support and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and provide weekend/on‑call support when required.
