About the role
Our client in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to end users. You will be responsible for maintaining hardware, software, and network services while ensuring smooth operation of the office IT environment.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to basic end‑user enquiries such as keyboard, printer, internet, and Outlook issues.
- Set up and maintain camera, LAN, and Wi‑Fi networks.
- Manage Microsoft licences, accounts and domain email configuration.
- Configure and support laptops, desktops, phones, and printers, including static IP assignment.
- Provide Remote Desktop and VPN access to servers.
- Install and maintain utilities such as FTP clients and PDF viewers.
- Process approval requests and order parts when authorised.
- Maintain IT stock and oversee its distribution.
Required profile
- Matriculation with A+ and Network+ certification or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
