IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, service‑focused IT Support Engineer to join our office in Stellenbosch. The role is permanent, full‑time and offers the chance to develop technical skills across end‑user support, Microsoft 365 administration and basic network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for hardware, software and connectivity issues, logging and resolving tickets via the helpdesk system.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 user administration, including account setup, licensing, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and support for Microsoft Copilot rollout.
• Prepare, configure and deploy laptops, desktops and peripherals, maintaining accurate asset records using tools such as Lansweeper.
• Offer basic network and infrastructure assistance, troubleshooting Wi‑Fi, internet and workstation connectivity, and supporting office moves or upgrades.
• Escalate complex incidents to specialised teams or third‑party providers while maintaining high customer‑service standards.

Required profile

• Strong service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with end‑users.
• Experience in supporting Windows environments and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Basic understanding of network connectivity and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail for asset management and documentation.
