IT Solutions Specialist

About the role

Daisy Business Solutions is seeking an IT Solutions Specialist for its Port Elizabeth office. The position is client‑facing and focuses on pre‑sales activities, working closely with sales teams to discover opportunities and design tailored technology solutions across Managed IT Services, networking, Microsoft 365, cloud and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients together with sales representatives to identify IT opportunities.
• Conduct site assessments and solution discovery sessions.
• Design customized solutions covering Managed IT Services, networking & infrastructure, Microsoft 365 & cloud, and cybersecurity.
• Prepare proposals, pricing models and solution architectures.
• Present solutions and support the sales team in closing deals.
• Take over and manage an existing portfolio of Port Elizabeth clients through a structured handover.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of networking (routing, switching and WiFi), Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and server fundamentals.
• Understanding of firewall, endpoint and email security concepts.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable in a client‑facing environment.
• Capability to build proposals, pricing and solution architectures.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport for regular site visits.

Required skills

• Routing, switching and WiFi networking.
• Microsoft 365 administration.
• Cybersecurity fundamentals including firewall, endpoint and email security.
• Server fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Reyee/Ruijie, Sophos and MikroTik product lines.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MikroTik, Microsoft, CompTIA or Sophos.
