IsiXhosa Teacher (Grade R-7)

About the role

Bergvliet Primary is advertising a full-time IsiXhosa teacher post (SGB post) covering Grades R to 7, starting in January 2027. The school is looking for a suitably qualified, CAPS-trained teacher.

Required profile

• Suitably qualified teacher, CAPS trained.
• Experience teaching learners who are learning isiXhosa as a second or third language.
• Ability to develop and adapt age-appropriate isiXhosa curriculum content and resources across Grade R-7, and to make language learning engaging, practical and accessible to learners of varying ages and ability levels.
• Experience or understanding of teaching in a diverse school community.

Required skills

• Computer literacy; interactive whiteboard training is an advantage.
• Experience with the Google Platform for lesson planning and content creation is an advantage.
• Innovation and creativity in curriculum delivery and development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
