Investment Associate - Johannesburg

About the role

This is a 12-month fixed-term Investment Associate position in Johannesburg, reporting to the Fund Manager. The role sources and executes deals, supports business development and maintains client relationships. Applications close on 5 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clients' network and portfolio to source transactions, and consult with BEE groups, intermediaries, lending institutions and other stakeholders
• Explore new investment opportunities through networking and contribute to a business development strategy
• Mobilise, coordinate and guide internal and external resources to appraise projects and deals, and manage internal decision-making to obtain investment approval
• Take part in due diligence and help recommend, develop and negotiate finance and legal structures, including term sheets, with the aim of long-term viability
• Help negotiate deal terms and security with clients and co-financiers, and oversee the finalisation of legal agreements

Required profile

• Graduate degree, preferably BCom Accounting, CA, CFA or equivalent
• Generalist in corporate finance with some private equity experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience
