Investment Associate

About the role

The diversified investment holding company is looking for an experienced Investment Associate to support the Head of Investments and the broader investment team. You will be involved in analysing opportunities, building financial models, conducting due diligence, and monitoring post‑deal performance across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investment analysis and build detailed financial models for potential deals.
• Perform commercial and financial due diligence on target companies.
• Prepare investment memoranda, valuation reports, and other documentation.
• Assist in transaction execution, including deal structuring and M&A processes.
• Monitor portfolio companies post‑investment and produce regular performance reports.

Required profile

• BCom Honours in Finance, BSc Honours in Financial Management, or a related qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in investment management, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
• Post‑graduate credentials such as MBA, CFA, or CA(SA) are preferred.
• Proven ability to evaluate commercial viability and support strategic investment decisions.
