Inventory Manager

About the role

Zulzi is looking for a commercially driven and analytical Inventory Manager to lead demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, and planning initiatives across the business. The role will ensure the right products are available in the right quantities at the right time while improving profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, trends, seasonality, promotions and growth plans.
• Translate forecasts into actionable inventory and operational plans and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
• Own the inventory planning process, analyse stock levels, ageing, slow‑moving and excess inventory, and optimise working capital.
• Identify opportunities to improve turnover, reduce stock‑outs and prevent over‑purchasing.
• Implement processes to measure and reduce wastage, shrinkage and inventory variances.
• Partner with finance, procurement, operations, merchandising and warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy and controls.
• Provide financial and operational insights that support better purchasing and inventory decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in forecasting, inventory planning, supply chain analytics or commercial finance.
• Experience in e‑commerce, retail, FMCG, logistics or fast‑paced operational environments is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, demand planning and business analytics.
