International Energy Sales Agent (US Campaign) - Johannesburg

About the role

ShiftMate is recruiting International Energy Sales Agents to work in a contact centre in Johannesburg. The campaign speaks to households and small businesses in the United States about their electricity and gas supply options. You call customers who have shown interest or are existing clients, explain the product clearly and help them decide whether it suits them. The role is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to warm leads and existing customers from the dialler
• Explain the product, benefits and costs in plain language
• Handle questions and objections honestly and respectfully
• Complete the sale accurately on the system, including the required compliance script
• Meet daily call, quality and sales targets
• Explain energy supply plans to US customers and complete enrolments accurately

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12)
• At least 6 months' call-centre or customer-service experience; sales experience is an advantage
• Fluent spoken and written English; a second South African language is an advantage
• A clear, neutral English accent that international customers understand easily
• Available for night shifts that match US business hours

Required skills

• Comfortable working on a computer and typing while talking
• Confident on the phone and motivated by targets and incentives
